My Services
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is massage which is offered with the goal of obtaining a therapeutic benefit. It differs from relaxation massage, performed to help someone relax. Therapeutic goals can vary considerably between massage therapists and clients. In some cases, massage is recommended by a health professional and may be performed as part of a larger treatment plan. Therapeutic massage incorporates deeper tissue massage therapy techniques such as Myofascial Release and Trigger Point techniques to help relieve pain and improve health and well being.
Visceral Manipulation
Visceral Manipulation (VM) assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunction. It evaluates and treats the dynamics of motion and suspension in relation to organs, membranes, fascia and ligaments. Visceral Manipulation increases proprioceptive communication within the body, thereby revitalizing a person and relieving symptoms of pain, dysfunction, and poor posture.
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral therapy (CST) is a light-touch approach that can release tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. The CranioSacral system is the soft tissue and fluid that protects your brain and spinal cord and has an impact on the central nervous system (CNS). The daily stresses and strains your body absorbs can compromise the function of the CNS. CranSacral Therapy releases those tensions to allow the entire body to self-correct; enhancing your health and well-being.
What does a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) do?
A Registered Massage Therapist or R.M.T. is a regulated health care professional who has received comprehensive academic and practical training and therefore provide the highest professional standards and quality care. An RMT is trained to evaluate individual health needs and provide active and passive techniques for complete patient care. Massage therapy is a hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, which has a therapeutic affect on the health and well being of the client by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems.
